Study: Baby Boomers Cutting Back on Spending

Those once considered the primary movers of the nation’s economic engine may be throwing a wrench into the struggling economic recovery: Baby boomers are watching their spending.

According to The Wall Street Journal, those born between 1946 and 1964 have been particularly hard hit by the recent recession, and are showing their reluctance to spend. “We will have to learn to make do with a lot less in material things,” one boomer was quoted as saying.
