Surf Expo continues its tradition of moving and shaking in the Beach and Watersports categories. In 2015, the Trade Show News Network recognized Surf Expo as one of the twenty-five trade shows with fastest-growing attendance in the industry. With over 2,300 exhibitor booths and counting, Surf Expo is known as the top destination for watersport, beach, resort, coastal, and gift retail industries. As of November 7th, over 6,000 retailers have already registered for their upcoming January 2017 show. Senior vice president and show director Roy Turner says, “Our January show is eleven markets rolled into one. That broad range of merchandise is one of the things that our buyers really like about this show. If your retail business has any type of connection to the water in any way, whether it’s coastal, lake, river, stream, fresh or salt water, we’ve done the curating. All of the brands at our show have a connection to the central water theme.”
The next show, to be held January 26th – 28th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, is expected to have over 200 new exhibitors, many return exhibitors and legacy exhibitors who have been with Surf Expo for decades. “There’s such a variety of tradeshows right now. Our show is a great option because you can spend fewer days and get exactly what you’re looking for,” says Turner. The many categories featured in January include surf, skate, swim, resort, coastal, gift, souvenir, boutique, footwear, performance, and apparel. “Retailers attend tradeshows to find new products.
